When I applied for a new raid team a few months ago, I went to my class trainer and put together a pretty good build for my shadow priest. It worked great then for the content I was working on. After re-examining my build, I realize that times have changed, and so should my talent tree.
Psychic Horror was a great ability during Trial of the Grand Crusader progression. It’s useless in Icecrown. And it’s not the only talent that has outlived its usefulness. Shifting around a few points can have a very noticeable effect on your DPS, mana regen, and survivability.
The price to respec varies — it could cost you as much as 50 gold depending on how many times you’ve done it recently. Still, when you compare that to the amount you spend twice that on a single epic gem and even more on high-end enchants, respecing gives you one of the best returns on investment in the game.

Foreword:
My Death Knight’s name is Rhnea. Generally, most people refer to me by my pally’s name Ashes. I have played all the tanking classes in raiding environments. That said, I have only raid tanked on my Death Knight on the server Mal’Ganis. DK Tanking is a sort of proactive tanking. We have 2-3 cooldowns and Blade Barrier. All these are activated by either pressing a button or using all of the blood rune slots. This means you have to know what to expect and when to expect things so you can minimize the incoming damage, as compared to other tanks who are built to take damage and press oh-@##@ buttons when they need.

Many people like to solo old instances for Mando’s raptor, Thekal’s tiger, Attumen’s Horse or just for fun. To do this as a warrior at first you need a tankequip(blockequip is the best), Glyph of Bloodthirst, Glyph of Enraged Regeneration and talents like this:
Talent Calculator – World of Warcraft
How to fight:
Go in Defense Stance, equip a tankgear and use the following skills,
1. Commanding Shout up
2. Bloodthirst>Revenge>Shield Slam
3. if you want: 5x Sunder Armor
4. if you have low HP use: Enraged Generation/Shield Wall/Last Stand/Trinket
5. if you have full HP you can use Deathwish
6. Use Shield Block on cooldown
7. Renew Commanding Shout when needed

Death Knights have it pretty good in PvP. Thanks to big whomping two-handers and magic damage strikes and spells, we can do massive burst damage and tear through armor defenses pretty easily. On the control front, we have Strangulate, Mind Freeze, Chains of Ice, and, depending on spec, maybe even a few other ways to silence, slow, or shut down an enemy player. Finally, our plate armor and defense cooldowns assure that should we the unlucky target of the burst train, we can hold out a lot longer than many.
Still, it’s not just being a Death Knight alone that gets you PvP fame and godhood. It does help to have the right talents, gear, and strategy. So we’re going to talk about that a bit, focusing mostly on the talents. Here’s two popular PvP Talent builds.

Elemental Tree
Tier 1:
Put 5 points into both Convection and Concussion. Convection reduces the mana cost of your best damagaing abilities by 5% and Concussion ups the damage of those abilities by 5%. Both are instant winners when it comes to raiding.
Tier2:
Put 3 points into Call of Flame. This talent helps up the damage of our newest move and my personal friend, Lava Burst. We no longer only hurl balls of shocktastic goodness, we now have a hug damaging move. Also kinda looks like a Pyroblast, but our is guaranteed to crit. SCREW YOU MAGES!! (unless your arcane and give me Focus Magic)
Tier 3:
Elemental Focuse is a must to be a proper elemental shaman. This talent gives you the ablity to enter a clearcasting state which will reduce your next to damage or healing spells after landing a spell crit, be it heal or damage. This a great ability already, but it gets even better later in the tree. You also want to get Elemental Fury which ups our crit damage bonus by 100% for any move we cast.

Note, this was all taken from WoW head, I take no credit aside from finding it.
Hello and Welcome. This is my mini-guide to DK Talent points and Skill usage. I’m posting this because I see alot of post concerning peoples builds, and alot of arguement being passed about many of them.
I’d like to start by saying, It’s really hard to build a DK wrong. I have a use in some form or fashion for 95% of DK talents. The thing I’ve learned about DK talents, is they Synergize with each other. So, I’ve done the best I could making that happen, while at the same time filling a specified roll which will be said after each build. There are tons of possibilities, so i’ll try to cover all I can.
Death Knights are built around combo’s. Talents used will make 1-2 skills your main damage dealing skills. If you have more than 2-3 your building your DK wrong. These builds help maximize damage, while making good use of runes. Each build consist of main damage skills, And each build should have a spammable Runic power Skill. Even while spamming damage it is very important to keep both diseases on a target, Frost Fever, and Blood Plague. Note* All of these are a matter of opinion, feel free to offer suggestions

I was looking for the best spec to level past 70 for my rogue and the ones i’ve been advised were either combat or mutilate.
Now I found combat just plain boring so i tryed assasination although it’s not much more fun.
The problem is, Mutilate costs a lot of energy so it doesnt really take full advantage of the Overkill talent (-10 energy for each move) because you only get to use it once or twice before the buff wears out.
To overcome this problem, i dropped mutilate and went into subtly tree to pick up Hemo.
The spec looks like this: WorldofWarcraft.com -> Info -> Classes -> Rogue -> Talent Calculator

What is 0/32/39?
The 0/32/39 build takes advantage of the only Death Knight F/U ability that deals damage independent of weapon damage, Howling Blast, as well as the myriad of wonderful abilities that Unholy offers, namely Necrosis, BCB (which works well with a third disease), Gargoyle, and Ghoul. 0/32/39 does incredible AOE and single target DPS, which is boosted a bunch thanks to a fast/fast weapon setup, taking advantage of Killing Machine.
However, things won’t stay that way come 3.0.8. Here are the relevant changes, thanks to mm0-champion (paraphrased):

I myself am using this 0 / 31 / 40 dw spec. I myself think that 30% disease dmg is bit more important than 2% dmg increase from boneshield since the 3.0.8 patch. Also these dual wield specs needs loads of Hit rating and Expertise (that I forgot to mention earlier), so be sure you have 250+ hit rating and over 6 expertise (more the better in this build) also Crit rating over 20% is nice to have. But Hit rating and Expertise is much more needed than Crit rating at start.
My own variation doesnt care much about how long those diseases last, and focuses around pet also witch is important to keep up in boss fights. Also this is rather 1 target dps spec than aoe spec (only few bosses in Naxx has corpses of their adds near boss to use Corpse Explosion on for example, tho you can take CE and be and rule dps in trash mobs but lose dps on boss fights).

I’ve been thinking about the 3.0.2 patch and spent a large portion of last month trying out some ideas on the PTR to confirm my initial impressions. *This post is entirely concerned about*affliction, particularly for the interim period between now and when the expansion hits in a month. This is also focused on raiding, though arguably pvp is going to be where the real innovation is found. Finally, these are only my opinions, albeit long-winded one. Please, correct/debate/disagree with these assessments, and hopefully a working guide for talents in the Wrath of the Lich King world will develop out of the conversation.
Which curse?
First, there is the important question of which curse to use. With the new “frailty” talent, there is the possibility of doing dramatic armor reduction without any cost (other than a missing curse) using the new Curse of Recklessness. I see this as a real improvement in melee-heavy raids. If you are not stacking a boomkin, then the next curse on the list is Curse of Elements. A rule of thumb for Curse of Elements: if your damage meter (e.g., Recount) indicates that you’re doing less than 16% (=3% from the overall damage boost + 13% from the curse) of your damage with Curse of Agony, use Curse of Elements instead. It ups all of the rest of your DPS sufficiently (when talented with the new malediction) to make it worthwhile. Every build I tested on the PTR maxed its DPS in this scenario. That said, the new boomkin buffs override curse of elements, in which case you’ll be using Curse of Agony to get the double benefit.
