It’s time to break the rules. We’re going to be our own DPS, our own healer and our own tank. It isn’t going to be easy, but if we play it smart, we’re going to be able to flatten some Burning Crusade content that a whole bunch of you have probably never even seen.

The talent build

Before we head into difficult content alone, we need to do a quick check of our talents and glyphs to make sure we only take along the best of the best. (This would be the point where you enjoy a self-satisfied breath of relief that you shelled out the 1,000 gold to dual spec.) There are probably about a hundred different ways you could design an instance-soloing spec, and there’s no perfect, one-size-fits-all option. Still, there are a few basic ideas you should keep in mind:

Zul’gurub resets every 3 days. Each mount run takes 30 minutes to a hour.
Chance to get a awesome mount! Easy 30 gold from boss.

Bloodlord Mandokir – NPC – World of Warcraftdrops Swift Razzashi Raptor – Item – World of Warcraft 1% chance.

High Priest Thekal – NPC – World of Warcraft drops Swift Zulian Tiger – Item – World of Warcraft 0.6% chance.

I used the following spec for this to make it a lot easier.

The World of Warcraft Armory

Glyphs: You can really use whatever.

Heya, this is a really simple exploit I wanted to share with you.

This worked last year and I thoguht I’d try it out this year aswell, so if you under any circumstances want to solo the Headless Horseman, you do the following:

Summon him.

The marked spot on the picture is where you’ll be kiting the Headless Horseman.

Run over there, and wait until he’s close.

When he’s close enough, jump down.

What you are going to do now is what I call a double jump,(yeah I know its random) which means you’ll have to jump 1 time first, it will look like this after the first jump.

After that you’ll jump 1 more time to make the Headless Horseman to run around it while taking damage. You should end up like this.

Easy ZG Tiger Solo Farming

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Boss Guides, WoW Raiding Guides

A while back, I used a glitch involving jumping on a stump to glitch the ZG Tiger encounter so the boss automatically jumps to tiger form in phase 2. That glitch had a low success rate and you hand to land on the stump just right. I also heard about one involving running out through the gates. This method is a modified way using elements of both to both try and easily reset. I know it’s possible to do this solo and just do phase 1 normally, but it always messes up for me with an unluckily timed gouge or stun on me and they get ressed.

Keep in mind that this method takes 3 tries for it to work, as long as you pull the boss on his way back each time (which is easy). It always takes exactly 3 tries, though I’m not sure why.

Steps:
1) Clear the right side of the room and any tigers that patrol to the right.
2) Mount up (preferably without speed bonuses) and pull the boss.
3) Run out through the entrance and wait right at the door.
4) When he resets, hurry and catch up to the tigers running at you.
5) This should pull the boss and adds again. Now, go to the right and jump on the ledge to easily reset.
6) Even if they don’t pull, jump on the ledge to reset and drop combat and try again.
7) The third time of pulling the boss and adds again, the adds will despawn and Thekal will transform.

If you are having trouble getting them to attack again after the gate reset, try running as soon as Thekal gets to the gate but before he resets, to account for lag.

Here’s a video I made:

Im going to be going over the following things on how to solo instances as a demonology warlock

1) Spec
2) Buffs
3) Pet
4) Instances

So this is how you spec…

Warlock Talents – World of Warcraft Talent Calculator version 3.2.2 – WoW Tools

Fairly simple spec, must have meta or this is pratically useless.

Buffs
Must have Soul Link, and your armor. If your going to be doing low level instances then I recomend demon armor. If your going to be doing higher instances then I recomend Fel Armor mainly because of the health regen

Pet

Once again if your going to be doing low level instances, you HAVE to use voidwalker because of the sacifrice ability. Instances that have alot of mobs (dire maul, stratholme, sunken temple) I would use felguard mainly because of the charge and of the demonic empowerment.

Instances

Im not going to cover all of them, but just some of the basic’s…

Rfc, Vc, Wc,Sfk, Bfd, Stocks, Rfk, gnomer – You mainly are going to use void walker and pull as much as you can. Dont use pet to attack because he will 1 shot most of the mobs and you will get no loot. So you mainly have to go up to each mob and hit them with your bare hands (dagger, stave. etc.etc) Just remember to keep up void’s sacrifice at all times. A simple void sacrifice and a RAIN OF FIREEEEEEE will kill these mobs. But since you have meta why not use it and go imm aura.

Sm, Rfd,Uld, ZF, Mara, St, Brd, lwbrs – Here you are going to use your felguard. Keep demon armor up and just keep pulling as much as you can until your pet cant handle it anymore. Meta then imm aura then a quick soc then rain of fire and all of the mobs will be dead I guarentee  .

Dire Maul, Stratholme -Aye  my favorite two instances. Believe it or not warlocks can do pretty dam good for a clothie in these two instances. Im going to start off with stratholme. You MUST have fel armor on. These guys give you a debuff which makes it so that you cant eat, or heal yourself (you can use healthstone if you really need to but fel armor helps alot). Your going to use felguard in a situation like this because of the fact that most of these guys stun (depends on what side) Just have Demonic Empowerment ready to go and your all set  . Remember to keep shadow res up. As usually a meta and imm aura and a soc then rof . You might have 1 or 2 mobs that are still up just spam inncen until dead  .

Ramps, Bf, SP, Ub, Mt, Ac – This may be tricky depending on how geared you are. Im basically naxx 25 geared so I cant really pull as much as I would want to be o’well. Just dont pull to much, If your ever do pull do much and your pet dies then just use Master Summoner and pray that will help. Its mainly the simple O’l meta, imm aura, Soc, Rof, (Inncc leftover mobs). You want to use felguard in this situation and use fel armor.

Unfortunately im not geared enough to do the later instances, so I guess this is the end of ma guide.

Solo onyxia as a hunter

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Boss Guides, WoW Hunter Guides

hunter spec: Talent Calculator – World of Warcraft
you can play with it, but that’s roughly what I use.

Requirements:
Barrage+Improved Barrage for AOEing whelps down
Go for the Throat+Bestial Discipline for focus regeneration, so your pet can generate threat -and- DPS
Animal Handler is also for threat (and dps).
Spirit Bond makes healing easier, especially combined with pet talents.
Catlike Reflexes Dodge

Everything else that isn’t directly for your pet is flavor and can be adjusted.

pet spec: Pet Calculator – Wowhead
the points in cobra reflexes + spiked collar can be moved around.

You need a tenacity pet. I use a scorpid just because I happen to have an 80 scorpid (and they’re the best single target DPS pet when they can just sit there and stack their poison). A turtle would probably be my choice if you wanted something that can *REALLY* mitigate damage. Scorpid or Gorilla if you want threat.

Don’t use your pet to hold the whelps, just keep him on Ony and stay away (but in range of it to DPS+Mend Pet when needed). Feign Death on cooldown during P1+P3, and save FD for when you’re targeted by a fireball during P2. Avoid deep breath. Use MD on cooldown also. Bring bandaids and a health potion if you want. You will be taking a decent amount of damage during P2.

The mob has 265k health and is immune to fear so when I was doing this as a Shadow Priest, it was impossible for me to solo. I also didn’t want to sit around for hours waiting to get 3-5 people to do this so I decided to explore other alternatives.

HOWEVER, if you refer to this handy map, you can see that there is a nice pretty mountain west of Galakrond’s Rest. With some simple maneuvering you can get up quite high on the mountain. Once you get there, wait for Sarasthra to patrol by. When she does, tag her with an instant cast spell because she will not be in attacking range for very long. As a Shadow Priest I used SW:P to grab her but anything else will work fine (Curse of Agony, Fire Blast, whatever). It will be handy to have talents that increase range

She will aggro and swoop down on you but she will not attack. So while she is staring blankly at you, you can just kill her normally with whatever you want as long as it is a ranged weapon. Sadly it seems that she is just out of reach with melee (even jumping and attacking does not work )

Sorry for the wall of text on how to solo just a measly quest but I figured there would be somebody out there that might want to do this.

On second thought, even if you completed this quest you can go and use her to level up your weapon skill (for example, if you were a hunter that switched from bow to gun and want to skill up weapon without running around Northrend shooting stuff).

Here’s proof

75g in 15 minutes!

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Boss Guides, WoW Gold Guides

Just a quick and easy bit of gold to help every 3 days!
I can do this on my feral druid, but I think a prot. pala, lock or shadow priest, DK (and other classes to) would be able to do this!
The idea is to solo Onyixa. She drops roughly 50g-55g and a few epics (which you can either DE, or sell for another 15g).
A ran takes about 15 minutes with my feral druid in 3 savage and 2 hateful (just to give you an idea of the gear). Having IMP. Leader of the Pack is very very useful.
Get into a raid (invite a friend and convert to raid) and enter her lair!

As a feral druid here are the tactics.
Phase 1. Run in after killing start mobs (easy)
Go cat, get 5 pt combo, Savage Roar, get 5 pt combo, Rip (Rake whenever it is possible). Go out and cast Regrowth and Rejuv when your at 60-70%. Use Barskin as soon as it off CD

Phase 2. As she is running for the air try to get a good Rip + Rake on and switch to Bear and use Swipe to kill the whelps (+Frenz Reg, if your struggling). Continue to run after Onyixa and dps/rip her down. A few more whelps will come. Continue to help at 60-70% with Regrowth + Rejuv. Soon you’ll reach Phase 3.

Phase 3. Same as Phase 1, just dps her down (killing any extra whelps that might carry over from Phase 2).

Now Loot!

[hunter] solo raptor boss in ZG

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Boss Guides, WoW Exploits, WoW Hunter Guides

THIS DOES NOT WORK with other classes, your pet has to have aggro or the boss will port you to the top of the stairs over and over, he CAN NOT port your pet so you must FD and have your pet have aggro the entire fight

so a couple of minutes ago i tried soloing tiger the normal exploit way where you evade the raptor and pet tank it, and it ended up very differently.

after failing at puling i jumped onto the ledge where u can evade the boss and FD’d ( not sure if feign death has to do with it ) but they stood there staring at my pet. after about 20 seconds blood lord mandokir jumped onto that ledge but his raptor was completely gone, he had no enrage and after i killed him i was outa combat with no raptor corpse in sight.

so how to achieve this ( image below )

1. pull mandokir and MD him to your pet.. jump onto the ledge ( show in screen shot soon to come) and click fallow on your pet bar so that he jumps to u and is evading the boss.
2. wait 20 seconds for the boss to jump onto the platform and despawn the raptor
3. have your pet tank ON the platform and dps the boss from the stairs
4. ???
5. profit
