I have sold so many auctions that the counter in the statistics section for my auction alts has rolled over into negative numbers. I am currently worth about 150,000g, and that’s after I bought myself a Quel’Delar and a pair of BoE boots the first couple of days after the patch launched. I suspect the reason I was picked to write this instead of someone who is already at or over the gold cap is that I’ve been able to accomplish this with extremely limited play time. I do most of my work in half an hour every weekday morning, leaving the rest of my time free for raiding with my hunter, writing about it at outdps.com, arguing with Frostheim about it on the Hunting Party Podcast, and taking care of my other show (Call to Auction).

When you decide you want to make ridiculous sums of imaginary money, where do you start? Well, that all depends on what you have. If you have been playing for a while, chances are you have a level 80. All characters have two primary profession slots, and maybe, if you’re really lucky, you’ll have some professions already trained! The higher, the better.

There are two ways to make gold in WoW. Grinding and everything else. If you are literally starting from nothing, I’m sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but unless you have a friend willing to loan you money, you’re going to have to grind. You need gold to make gold in the auction house.

Amazing botting/ grinding areas – 70+

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Leveling Guides

I used these locations to bot and found it gave really good xp rate/hr and no problems with the area. One is in Dragonblight (picture below) and the other in Sholazar Basin. The bad thing about Sholazar basin (which is also a plus) is that they mobs respawn instantly. Your class needs to be able to take on 2-4 mobs at a time and have no downtime. I never died as a DK or paladin. A priest should do fine and any other class that can heal.

With the Dragonblight area, by the time u start the circuit again (its a very small area) the mobs will have respawned. Both areas drop very nice frostweave cloth and several grays with nearby vendors.

There is a mob called Avatar of Freya (a big giant) the location is to her right. The mobs are undead.

So I was questing in Dragonblight and happened to kill an Arctic Grizzly – NPC – World of Warcraft in passing, and to my amazement, it dropped an Arctic Fur – Item – World of Warcraft when I skinned it. Now what sets these guys aside from regular Arctic Fur farming elsewhere is that they are accompanied by Arctic Grizzly Cub – NPC – World of Warcraft, which have very little health (3k?), but will also skin like a normal mob, meaning you can get Borean Leather AND arctic fur!

On top of that, they give decent XP if you’re trying to level, considering how little health they have. I’m going to stay on these guys to grind and farm for a little while.

Pic of where to find these guys, stolen from WoWhead:

Hope you can make some gold and easy XP with this one!

decent xp grinding at 73 with an 80 friend

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Leveling Guides, WoW Quest Guide

if you become eligible for the quest The Conquest Pit do the first one normally.

but the 2nd one. The conquest pit: mad furbolg fighting can get you good xp in a short amount of time.

here’s what you do.

get an 80 friend who is decently geared.
accept the fighting furbolg quest.
have the 80 kill the furbolg while avoiding the firenova totem(it hurts).
when it’s dead, abandon quest and accept again.

you do not have to tag the mob, it comes ‘pre-tagged’ for you.
i was getting 4.5k-9k(rested) xp per kill. and it took 30 seconds or so to kill him for my rogue friend.

This guide will follow the process I am doing at the moment to power through skyguard rep, with minimal usage of dailies and time. This guide can be followed by any class, but favors those with solid aoe abilities and a 280 or 310% flying mount.

As the guide progresses, I will note and explain several rules to following it. I will recap them at the end.

Below is a map of all the major points you will need.

Pre-Quests and Starting the Grind

Rule 1: Keep your inventory as clean as possible. You will be getting lots of cloth, greens, greys, and quest items which you will probably want to sell. Destroy food/water, non-equip greys, and light feathers for most effective space usage.

1. Start at the blue dot (Skyguard camp) and accept the quest World of Shadows.

2. Leave the camp and kill Arrakoa (the humanoids, ignore the birds, trees, water elementals, etc.) to get 6 Shadow Dust. Return to the camp and complete the quest. This will award you 250 rep.

3. Apply the Elixir of shadows you just got and accept Secrets of the Talonpriests and follow the map, killing the 3 Talonpriests. Talonpriest Ishaal will drop a quest item that starts Ishaal’s Almanac.

Guide: Wintersaber rep grinding

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Achievements, WoW Reputation

A lot of people like the oldskool shizzle, this mount being one of them… The problem is that the repgrind is pretty long (not if you compare it with how it sued to be, but still…) and boring, and a lot of people don’t like losing time (meaning: spending time in the game without actually gaining items or gold).
I will explain you how you can make a fair amount of gold (not a lot though, just a nice extra)+ get your rep…

FAQ

Rivern Frostwind: Rivern Frostwind – NPC – World of Warcraft
Wintersaber Trainers: Wintersaber Trainers – Faction – World of Warcraft
[Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber]: Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber – Item – World of Warcraft

—ALLIANCE FAQs:————————————————-
Q # Where is Rivern Frostwind?
A # You can find him in the north of winterspring, located on a big rock.

Q # How do I buy a Wintersaber Frostsaber mount from him?
A # You need to grind 42,000 reputation points with the Wintersaber Trainers. You can only get rep by doing the same 3 quests over and over again.

Q # What level do I have to be to get the quests to begin grinding?
A # You must be at least level 58 to begin his quests.

Make 4000g/5 hours GRINDING(New method)

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Gold Guides

This is mainly for AoE classes. I play a prot pally so obviously I will make more gold, but here it goes.

Go to this area: Icecrown Glacier, Icecrown
It is on the western side next to Yhirem.

There are groups of mobs called “Converted Heroes.”

Pull one of those groups. They mortal strike and slow you, so if you are a pally BoF and run to pull the next one.

They are easy to kill and only have ~12000hp

My first hour farming here I got this
_________________________
14 green items
2 Epics
106g in SILVER ALONE
74g In GREYS
11 Stacks of Frostweave

High exp Grinding in Zuldrak

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Leveling Guides

First off the monsters you will be grinding is 74-75.
They drop common loot aswell frostweave somtimes they are good for exp but not much for farming at 80.
They give about 1k exp per mob and are three at a pack at the spot more on that later.
First off you need to get the quest “an invitation somthing” An Invitation, of Sorts… – Quest – World of Warcraft
and do all the quests until the part of “betrayal” comes after that you position yourself infront of him and sign for a BG dosent matter whith one when one pops up you you talk to him when you go to the spot immidietly run to one of the corners whith the geists in, they have packs of 3 you will notice if you just search. after you see em go to theyrr platform and enter the bg.

Easy Grind for Borean Leather + artic fur

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Gold Guides, WoW Professions

So did a search. there where similar things… but nothing at the spot i found.

Basicly there is a spot in Storm Peaks, a cave where worms are. (47,55)
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9419/mapkd9.jpg

Well there are Worgs there that killed by the worms, This is important because they spawn in a pair.

Once you kill the worms the spawn rate of the Worgs is insane. After a couple of min it becomes an instant spawn between the four spots.

Easy Grinding in Zul’Drak

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Leveling Guides, WoW Tricks

So, in Zul’drak, you’re gonna find a little village south of Light’s breach, were there is a few mobs, etc etc.
http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd244/Lukasgaarden/4.jpg

But what you want is to go outside of the camp, where you will find some friendly NPC’s attacking invading enemies. Now, all you have to do is to hit them once, and you will gain the loot.
