Pets from almost any source are a lucrative market to be in, and this will provide another way engineers can make a bit of cash from their horrible gold sink of a profession. Hunter ammo was a step in the right direction, and this is too.
First up, you need the schematics
Unless you happened to have them already, you will probably need to go farm the schematics. These were formerly unfarmable and tied to one of the two branches of engineering, but now both goblin and gnomish engineers can get them as a random drop.
- Schematic: Lil’ Smokey is dropped by the Arcane Nullifier X-21, among other mobs. The drop rate in Wowhead says 2%, however that includes all the non-engineers who kill these and don’t see the schematic. In reality, it should be much much higher.
- Schematic: Pet Bombling is dropped by Mekgineer Thermaplugg, and again, while it shows a low drop rate, that includes all the non-engineers who kill him and can’t see the drop. I read comments saying that it’s a very high drop rate for engineers. If you kill him, are eligible to get the schematic, and don’t see this, let me know in the comments.

After you have used Trix of the trade on a player you can deal damage with bombs such as saronite bomb and frag belt (have not tried other bombs) without triggering the 6 seconds buff and it will have the same effect as if you would have pulled with a ranged attack like throw and shoot, this means you can pull a group of mobs and still have the buff left to transfer threat for 6 sec when you start attacking for real.
Misdirect report addons will not announce if you pull like this.

Currently you’re able to use engineering bombs in Swift Flight Form.
Moderately useful. Mainly for fun and just airbombing people while flying
around. Perhaps the first airstrikes in Wintergrasp. Who knows what
possibilities this has. Picture ofcourse generously included.

You need to have Engineering maxed out 450/450 for this.
1. Introduction
2. To the “hard work”
3. How to make the profit
4. Tips
1. Introduction
Hey, welcome to my little guide about how to make some easy gold with Engineering ALMOST DOING NOTHING As many of you know(hopefully) Engineering isn’t the best profession if you looking to make huge profits. In this guide i will explain step by step how to make a little amount of gold. It can be server dependant since the mats for the items mostly of the times have a little differens of price. I reccomend you to have atleast 800-1000gold to start of with. ALSO, this it pretty much common sence.. but i saw one a few days ago that said everything in World of Warcraft is common sence right now, and that is correct in some ways.
2. To the “hard work”
The item we going to make is (Nesingwary 4000)
Now to the real “hard work”, mount up and run all the long way to your Auction House.
Now you have to buy the mats for the gun, the mats are.
10 Titanium Bars
1 Frozen Orb
12 Eternal Fire
12 Eternal Shadow
1 Walnut Stock (This one is bought from the Engineering Supply Vendor in Dalaran)
3 Sun Scope

Over the past few days, some upcoming professions changes for Patch 3.2 have been announced, and although they are not as detailed as they could be, several of the changes will have quite an impact.
First and foremost, every profession-specific buff is being upgraded. This includes an Enchanter’s ability to enhance their own rings, a Leatherworker’s bracer enchants, and more.
These buffs also answer some of the concerns surrounding the upcoming Jewelcrafting nerf that epic gems might be introduced without a buff to the Dragon’s Eyes, which, in combination with the fact that these gems will no longer be prismatic, would effectively squash the Jewelcrafting bonus.
Jewelcrafters will also do well to note that they will be able to acquire epic gems by prospecting Titanium. Combined with a Blacksmith’s two extra prismatic sockets, this powerful duo is one of the most popular profession combinations.
In addition, Engineers will be seeing some welcome changes to their profession that may make it more appealing. Unfortunately, some of the details have not been made public, so the competitiveness of their self buffs, for example, remains to be seen.
Engineering Changes
Here, I will discuss a few of the more significant ones and the ways in which they’re going to affect us.

Well actually when you damage a wall with a Saronite Bomb it counts towards the achievment. The best part is it even works when you are on defense so you can even damage your own walls which also counts towards the achievment.

Whilst browsing through Wowhead, I was looking at the recipe for Mekgineer’s Chopper and realized something.
Flame Leviathan, XT-002, and Mimiron can be salvaged by Engineers with a minimum level of 415 (?) for the materials to make the Mekgineer’s Chopper, it’s very easy to sell these mats on the AH for 500-600 gold less than the vendor and still make an absolute KILLING.
Good luck and have fun.
To clarify, the three mechanical bosses have a chance to salvage:
Elementium-plated Exhaust Pipe – Item – World of Warcraft
Goblin-machined Piston – Item – World of Warcraft
and
Salvaged Iron Golem Parts – Item – World of Warcraft

The “Gnomish Cloaking Device” completely breaks you from combat when used! It’s the engineer’s Vanish/Shadowmeld and can be used to survive wipes, drop aggro, and leave combat.
It requires 200 Engineering to use, and the Limited Supply item is sold by Zan Shivsproket in the basement of Ravenholdt Manor. (Recipe sells for 15-25G on the AH by the way – this is common knowledge though.)
It allows for a new Rogue strategy: Keeping your normal stunlock rotation even if the target uses a PVP Trinket in the opening CS/KS moves!
You see, once the Cloaking Device breaks you from combat you are invisible for 10 seconds. During this time, you can refresh the duration another 18 seconds by popping an Invisibility pot (which can’t be used while you are IN comat) OR simply go back into Stealth, re-equip gear, and then re-open with Cheap Shot. =]

I saw some douchebag dropping decoys via engineering next to egg spawns in Silvermoon. Pretty sure it was an ally rogue. Anyhow, he was flagged (pvp server) and dropping little yellow-nameplate bunnies everywhere which were somehow killing unflagged nubs gathering eggs. Maybe they right clicked them? Unfortunately you will only be able to kill lowbies with this, but I thought it was freaking hilarious and wanted to share. Just don’t overdo it or you will likely get into a lil trouble for repeated griefing/interference yadayadayada.
