Wintergrasp is a large zone in Northrend populated by elementals and once every 2 hours or so, players.
The conventional Wintergrasp tactics go like this:
1) Get vehicles
2) Rush the east side
3) Break through the walls
4) Assault the keep
5) Profit
But, these tactics suck. All that will happen is horde will stack at East side and dick all over your tanks. This equals fail.
If you genuinely want to win and get all the goodies that go a long with winning (marks, honor, VoA) I suggest you listen up.
These tactics work exceedingly well providing you can get people to listen. I know, tough one, but I never said this would be easy.
So, without further ado, here’s how to win WG quickly.
1) Get there before the fight starts
2) Head to the west side and camp out where the cannons spawn
3) As soon as those cannons spawn, start killing them. At the beginning you should have a load of tenacity stacks so they’ll fall fast.
4) Do this for both the outer and inner west walls
5) Stack siege engines at the Western siege workshop and move in on the walls.
6) Once you break through the 2nd wall, go for the door, if you die grab a demo and go back
7) Win
These tactics have won me countless WG games. You’ll find your enemy won’t actually realise whats happening until the 2nd wall falls and by that time its far too late for them.
