It is important that you understand how AV actually works in order for this to work more effectively.(read underlined portion for the main point)
Now I’m a seasoned BGer and when pugging AV I would always run into problems where my team would go on defense and make a 30 min game of 800 honor(if we won, which only happened half the time). Rather than a race of 9 mins and 1000+ honor. I have used a lot of macros, all saying where people should go. Sadly that never worked well…. Until now.
WHAT YOU DO:
Make a macro telling people where to go like normal(your own strat is fine, i just made this one up) BUT add these two things at the beginning and end.(I’m horde, change it if you are Alliance obviously)

1-2 go north
3-5 Balinda/back cap or defend bunkers
6-7 SHB
8 IWB

Now you might think that it is just like every other macro, but it is NOT. This works the majority of the time. I have even gotten a perfect game with this macro with a complete PUG that thought they were in a premade.
You can not expect to win. I single handedly have gotten so much honor for myself and every person in the game and they werent even aware.
*VERY IMPORTANT* TIPS/EXPLANATION:
-The object of AV is to CAP the bunkers, it is important that you have people in every bunker until they cap. So bark orders, This is the main thing that all AV players must know.
-YOU MUST DO A JOB TOO. Every game I run straight to their base and cap their south tower.
-I get a lot of tells from people wanting to get into my premade I either don’t respond or depending if the game is going well I tell them I lied its a pug, and usually they will say “omg you are so awesome!”
-Now remember it is a pug and depending on the amount of kids/bads you get can screw you over.
-If at any point your team is on defense and you have towers uncapped. /afk out and wait th 15 mins, the game will continue long past those 15 mins and you can get in a new better group. leaving those noobs all in that game.
This is pretty far out there but earlier today I encountered a paladin in Alterac Valley who instantly teleported to the opposing faction’s base 10 seconds into the game. He proceeded to tell me exactly how…
Step 1: Have Rune of Recall – Item – World of Warcraft from before the Alterac Valley revamp.
Step 2: Faction change.
Step 3: Teleport to opposite faction’s base.
I do accept that it’s pretty far fetched that someone would still have this sitting around but evidently someone did.
So you all know about the elite dr00ds which u can summon if ur alliance in AV ite? well they all stand north of the Dun Baldar North bunker… down a little ally-way part standing round a stone… whats great about these is they attack any horde… including pets …
anyways when defending (as alliance only) i found a way of getting dr00ds to start fighting… they will keep fighting till they have either been killed OR no more hordes to kill, but since most horde and allys fight at the bridge they shouldnt run out of hordes to fight…
so to get them after the horde just wait for a DK ghoul… hunters pet etc etc to follow u… then run there pet to the Dr00ds the elites will kill it then run after the hunter whom hopefully will be standing next to more hordes… and as they stay in combat untill killed or nothing to kill (the cast aoe roots… so they do acctually keep themselves in combat) and thats about it really just a additional abit of help if you are defending

You need a logitech g15 in order to do this, or any other “keyboard/mouse” input devices that allows macro repeation, not a physical program that WoW could scan for.
I use my logitech g15 keyboard and four macros in WoW to AFK AV… I’ve been able to do 71-80 in 40 hours of sitting in AV. Along with being able to accumulate up to 200k honor in 4 days~.
The prerequisites:
- Preform AV Enabler (curse.com has this)
- SSpvp3 (curse.com has this)
- A logitech g15 keyboard or any other input device that runs macros with out a
program running.
Creating the Macros:
You will need 4 macros to afk AV properly and not be stuck in the cave getting
reported.
Macro 1:
/script PreformAVEnabler_Queue(1)
Macro 2:
/script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1)
Macro 3:
/cast [nomounted] Stormpike Battle Charger
Macro 4:
/stopmacro [target=focus, dead]
/targetfriend
/follow
What each macro does:
Macro 1: This will queue you up for AV, you can also replace the number
1, with any other number to queue up for other battlegrounds as well. The reason I use preform AV’s queue macro, is its a lot more stable, and you don’t have to open up your battlegrounds tab and choose a selection first, which you would have to do if you used the alternative macro /script JoinBattlefield(0)
Macro 2: This simply accepts the queue and physically joins the battleground, this doesn’t need to be changed for other battlegrounds, it’ll accept all.
Macro 3: This macro mounts you up when you aren’t mounted only, if you are currently mounted, it won’t dismount you when the macro is pressed again…
a lot better than pressing you mount button and being dismounted over and over again.

Before attempting to shoot for several of these achievements, it is strongly advised that you have the following:
I won’t go into much detail about the AV Enabler. Veteran BG players understand why it’s useful and nearly a requirement in most preforms. There is no exception especially when it comes to AV.
This Achievement involves you killing 50 players while defending your general. It’s either going to be Drek or Vann depending on your faction. If you happen to join an AV in progress where you are losing, then it’s the perfect time for you and your crew to make their stand. Ideally, your defense will involve a couple of Death Knights. Have them Scorpion any unsuspecting Horde (or Alliance) players in.
As DPS, strafe in and out of sight as much as possible. Sneak out and try to bait players in, but take care not to get yourself caught outside. Death Grip from Death Knights work both ways.
Line of sight everything as much as possible. There are two columns in the back of Vann’s room which I’ve found perfect for the job. I’d be able to partially conceal myself behind it and still heal players around me. There’s probably something similar in Drek’s room as well.
The most important thing here is to don’t ever release. If you’re lucky, opposing faction members won’t loot your corpse allowing the healers behind you to pick you up manually.
I was able to get this achievement in about 3 minutes after dying and doing the run of shame back into Vann’s room.
Now make like Braveheart and hold!
Basically to summarize the trick:
- enter AB, AV, run up to the gate
- click this macro: /script SendChatMessage(“\124cff000000Haha lol, you can’t see this coz it’s DCing me 
\124r”,”Say”,”Orcish”,”");
- thank these forums for this macro (macro from user: TelepathicIndian)
- this will auto disconnect you
- log back in
- with a little lag on the loading of collision models you can walk right through the door before it appears.
For AB/AV:
- i usually take 1,2 steps forward through the gate, wait for it to zone it, mount up and run off.
