AOE grinding spot Dragonblight

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Gold Guides, WoW Leveling Guides

The spot- Dragonblight at the onslaught base camp

The mobs here at these camps are extremely easy for aoeing grinding they range from lvls 70-73 you can easily do this on a greenmachine mage at 70. they give about 950xp at 70-73 and about 800-850xp from 73-76. Alls you do is round up one camp at a time and just aoe them down the key to is not to let them touch i do this on a frost mage and have been doing it since lvl 70, just cast mana shield and ice barrier then mount gather them up and frost nova stand back and blizzard them down usually takes about 2 blizzards you’ll get one blizzard off before they unfreeze you can either just cast another blizzard (it will get about half way done before they interrupt) then just do a quick aoe arcane explosion ect or another blizzard. There are about 5 camps scattered right by each other and the respawn is very quick not instant but quick enough to just make a nice little route running from camp to camp. Ive found 2 boe blues here and tons of greens, frostweave cloth ect there are herbs at the surrounding trees.

I haven’t seen many people doing this and druids are one of the BEST classes to AoE grind with. Please read the whole guide before you try this. If you aren’t that interested in how to do this and care more about why/how this works go to section 5 and 6.

The color coding is nothing more than to make it a bit easier to seperate ideas. Link still show up in white!

Sections:
1. Requirements
2. Spec
3. Gear/Enchants/Glyphs
4. Macros
5. Howto
6. Areas
7. Notes/Explanation(Summary)

1. REQUIREMENTS

What is required?
A druid 42+
But reccomended is a druid level 57+(Explained in Spec section)
Depending on your server at most I would say 100g is needed. (Explained in gear section.)
This will be needed later in the guide too but you will have to go into menu->interface->Camera find the follow setting and change it to none/off instead of smart.

2. SPEC

Basically, for this you need to be horde. And you need a healer and a couple of aoe’ers.

There’s a quest in storm peaks called Sniffing out the Perpetrators: Sniffing Out the Perpetrator – Quest – World of Warcraft

Start this quest, then mount the tiger next to khaliisi, but immediately dismount. Do this rapidly, 10-20 times.

This will spawn a massive stream of these Stormforged Pursuers:
Stormforged Pursuer – NPC – World of Warcraft

They will spawn, start chasing the stream of cats that you are spawning, then turn around and go for the person who spawned them.

[Guide] AoE Grinding as a Feral Druid!

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Druid Guides, WoW Gold Guides

Here goes my attempt at showing you guys how to AoE grind as a feral druid with minimal gear…

Everyone shows how they can pull 5+ mobs their own level with a paladin, mage, whatever… im here to show that you can do it just as well as a feral druid…

[Skills]
[Offensive Skills]
[Swipe]

This is probably the most important skill to use, it does great aoe damage, and with the Primal Fury talent you get +5 rage every time you crit, which can be up to as many times you crit.

[Berserk] + [Mangle]

With Berserk, Mangle can affect nearby targets as well, making this an ideal aoe situational tool… with no cooldown you can take down any group. Save this combo for big groups.

[Defensive Skills]
[Demoralizing Roar]

This is a great skill, decreasing an unlimited amount of enemies Ap, for 30 seconds at the cost of 10 rage is incredible…

AoE fire grinding

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Mage Guides

Fire aoe grinding can be compared to frost AoEing and both are great, i prefer fire because its faster for me but everyone has their personal opinion.

Talents

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oZfVcfR0huiubMstbhc

that’s my pretty basic layout and it works well, i can do usually 2-4 pulls before going oom or losing health, with frost i can only do a maximum of 2-3.

Gameplay/strat
Youll want to start on your mount with mana shield optional, pull the mobs and group them to a small cluster than frost nova, straf away or blink and cast flamestrike. as they run to you cast a dragons breathe than instant cast flamestrike and usually finish it off with 1-3 arcane explosions a blast wave or just another flamestrike.

There’s a spot in Dragonblight where you can AoE grind melee mobs very fast.
That zone is Galakrond’s Rest (60.0;32.0), northwest of Wyrmrest Temple.

Leveling your Mage through Northrend

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Leveling Guides, WoW Mage Guides

by CHRISTIAN BELT

I’m going to assume that most of you are well into leveling your Mages through Northrend. A lot of you will likely be sitting on level 72, 73 or 74ish, and some of you more crazy Mages might even be closing in on level 80. If you’ve already managed to cap your Mage, wow. I don’t know whether to congratulate you or stage an intervention. Either way, I’m afraid this week’s column isn’t going to be of much interest to you. It’s directed more at those of you still in the early-to-mid range of the 70-80 leveling stretch.

Leveling builds

In my opinion, there are three main kinds of talent specs in WoW. End-game raiding specs (of which I listed a few in last week’s Arcane Brilliance), end-game PvP specs (of which I plan to make list at some point after I actually reach the end-game and do a bit of PvPing), andleveling specs. The way you organize your talent points while leveling is often fundamentally different from the way you will re-organize them upon reaching the end-game. At end-game your talent points are strictly rationed out and tightly focused on whatever your goals happen to be. If your goal is high-end raiding content, you’ll take only those talents that will help you maximize your DPS output, control your threat generation, and manage your mana pool. If you’re focused on PvP, you’ll sacrifice a lot of those same talents for survivability/escape options, and sustained DPS will take a backseat to burst damage potential
