Love is in the Air this 2010 with a revamped holiday event!
Buffs can be dispelled, but sockets are forever. That was the line from the Valentine’s Day World of Warcraft commercial that aired during the days of WoW: The Burning Crusade. Now the holiday has come back around but this time with a vengeance. No longer do you pick up chocolates from the guards or find out who’s spiked the perfume. A mysterious group of Goblins called the Crown Company has taken over the holiday and the Steemwheedle Cartel is none too pleased.
Love is in the Air runs from February 7th, 2010 to February 20th, 2010.
What’s New
A lot has changed and the holiday has been revamped to remove all of the frustrating bits out of it. No longer do you have to hope you get the right item from a guard or sit AFK for hours at a time while a debuff wears off.
- Guards no longer give out gifts and “Heartbroken” no longer exists.
- Innkeepers have no role at all in the new Love is in the Air holiday.
- You can now do four daily quests for your capital cities in addition to other daily quests once you’ve unlocked them.
- Love Tokens are now used to purchase all of the goods that used to come from Pledges. You can get these from daily quests or by farming any mob for XP to make bracelets.
- Many of the achievements have changed, but they’re rewarded retroactively (so you won’t lose any achievements).

Getting Started
Loremaster, is a meta-achievement that requires the player to complete a large amount of quests in every continent in the game. This achievement is probably one of, if not the most challenging achievements in the World of Warcraft. Those who attempt this achievement will find varying degrees of difficulty from player to player and will more likely than not want to quit due to frustration from time to time.
Once completed the player will receive the [Loremaster’s Colors] (a tabard) which will arrive in the mail attached to a letter from one of the leaders of your faction. Alliance will receive a letter from Tyrande Whisperwind entitled “Greetings From Darnassus“, while Horde players will receive a letter from Cairne Bloodhoof entitled “Greetings From Thunder Bluff”. Players will also gain the title Loremaster which will be displayed in this format:
Loremaster <name>
In Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms players will be asked to complete a total number of quests across both continents with no regards to the zone. Outland and Northrend are slightly easier as the player will be required to complete a set number of quests in each zone on the continent. The number of quests needed for Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland, and Northrend vary from Horde to Alliance. Currently the numbers look like this:
Horde
Kalimdor – 685 Total

You can make this achievement easier:
1. Switch to Track Beasts
2. make a macro: /tar Wild Turkey
/cast Hunter’s Mark

So, I was in Shatt on my mage (45), when I came across trade chat (no wai right!?) and I saw these in trade: Tracker Snacks – Item – World of Warcraft
These work just as if a hunter were to use track beasts. The recipe: Recipe: Tracker Snacks – Item – World of Warcraft can be bought in Dalaran at the cooking trainer.
Now this does require cooking, but during the holiday there is basically free cooking training, making it very easy to to get up to 400 to cook these. The snacks themselves do require level 70 to use though.
Help this helps you get your achievement!! I know for me it did!

1: Invite a friend/random person to a group.
2: Convert to Raid
3: Make sure you’re the leader
4: Make this macro
/tar Wild Turkey
/script SetRaidTargetIcon(‘target’,8)
5: It will add a SKULL icon over the turkey, makes them very easy to find.
Enjoy

I just found out a much easier way to do the achievement:
——————————————————————————–

——————————————————————————–
Usually, like most of us know, it is done by getting the stun dispelled with ex. Cleanse, or using a PvP trinket.
However, there is something much easier. When/If you get stunned, you just hover your mouse in front of your character
and spam the right mousebutton as he throws his hammer at you. You will then catch the hammer and be able to throw
it just like if you were cleansed.
This tactic is alot fun too, and I do really believe that it was this way Blizzard really wanted us to do this achievement
Enjoy

Hadronox Denied
http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=1297
Ok as some of you know methods such as feign death, vanish and crashing racer etc no longer give the achievement for some reason. Here is a tip to easily complete the achievement without the needs of a specific class or item.
1) Position your team at the very top of the web.
2) Have a member run down hugging the right, and pull the 1st pack.
3) Pull them to the spot just before Hadronox, but after the web.
4) Die.
5) As the player is dying the team slowly runs down.
6) The healer resses the dead player, while the rest charge Hadronox.
7) Kill the Boss and ding achievement.
Quickly run down and jump into the water below or get swarmed by an endless wave of adds!
Using this method any group can get the achievement easily, in my cases we havent encountered a single add till after the kill.

Another little gold making tip.
Every year Winterveil comes through, and people need small eggs, I’m not sure why, cookies or something.
Here are in, (My Opinion) The best spots to farm them.
Alliance!
Westfall, Anywhere you see a vulture, pull it’s head off. And still it’s eggs.
Horde!
Outside Silvermoon City, Dragonhawks! Same deal, de-head them and loot the eggs, I’m sure someone could whip up a botting profile for these,
If you’re going to do that swing by Curse.com – WoW Addons WAR Addons Gamer Blogs Forums and pick up Lootfilter.
LootFilter – Addons – Curse
Last year I made a killing off this by dominating the AH, I got (over all of Winterveil a total of 2500g~
A note on lootfilter, only allow it to filter bags that don’t contain reagents / food, etc.
I made a mistake of not doing this and lost 600 symbol of kings and 100 food and water.
