Found this whilst surfing Shadowpriest.com and surprisingly enough .. it kinda works. If your good at Priority casting.. you might loose some DPS. But if you suck at it .. you will definately gain some DPS.

I have been on the PTR, perfecting my spell rotation macros for the next patch.

Thought I would share them here.

Since I started sharing my macros, I have had many shadow priests log on to my realm to say thanks, as their dps went up and they started topping the WWS logs for boss fights by using them.

I also have been criticized by peeps in the forums, who – having never tried them – claim they don’t work. I just laugh and keep out dpsing the hunters, the locks, the mages, and the rest. I have even posted my WWS logs, which show 5k to 6k dps on most boss fights and they still flame me.

Fortunately, it doesn’t bother me. As long as I keep topping the charts on dps, they can flame away.

Here is what I will be using when 3.1 hits:

START MACRO (only use START MACRO with MAIN ROTATION MACRO on BOSS fights)

/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat vampiric embrace, vampiric touch, mind blast, devouring plague, mind flay, shadow word: pain, mind blast, shadowfiend, mind flay, shadow word: death

Ok, I started with VE, but hey, it lasts for 5 minutes now; and I can start the macro while I am moving into position; and it negates any AOE boss damage; and heals my party … so I say, why not.

Notice that I use Shadowfiend … and in fights that last longer than 3 minutes I will get to use it again. The fiend does great damage now … and I have no mana issues so, again I say, why not use it as often as you can to up your dps.

And my start macro applies SWP at the proper time, after I have 5 stacks of Shadow Weaving.

When Shadow Word: Death is cast, I switch to my main rotation macro:

MAIN ROTATION MACRO (use anytime by itself, trash, multiple bossess. Manually apply SWP at 5 stacks)

/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target vampiric touch, mind blast, mind flay, mind flay, mind blast, mind flay, mind flay
/cast devouring plague
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

I have 451 base haste and with the Shammy 5% haste totem and Ret pally 3% haste talent my haste is 714. My MB casts as soon as its cool down is up. My VT’s are spot on with only a fraction of a fraction of a second to spare. My DP is always up – cept for at most 1 GCD, since it sometimes becomes available during a cast and has to wait for that GCD to end before it can cast again, if it comes up during a MF, it clips the MF and will keep your rotation perfect.

Finally, when a Shammy pops Blood Lust, I switch to this macro during the Bloodlust:

BLOODLUST MACRO

/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target mind flay, mind flay, vampiric touch, mind blast, mind flay, shadow word: death, mind flay, mind blast, mind flay
/cast devouring plague
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

Yea, I know, there is an extra MF at the end of the macro to fill time so I don’t step on the last tick of VT. It does delay my next MB just a tad but there is no way around that.
