I recently discovered on my 39 paladin twink…
We can make these at any lvl.. I got a summon to Ogri’la in blades edge and, with the help of an 80 warlock, collected the 10 apexis shards necessary to create this in about 4 minutes. I bought the depleted crystal focus (which is the other reagent for this “recipe”) off of the AH at a price of 5 for 13g.
I combined them, got naked, regeared and instantly healed myself for 2k. It works and looks just like a warlock’s healthstone. In addition, i noted that it didnt share a CD with potions or spells, but rather with a dark rune. (I assume this is because you could then pop these in a macro and get an instant, free 900-1500 mana without the health loss.) I’m curious as to whether it shares a CD with the healthstone as well.
Make note, however, that it was only a 2min cd on both the rune and the crystal, not the 15 minutes CD that comes with a Dark Rune. Very worth the effort, if you’re into a 2 min CD on a 2k heal in a 39 bg… considering these are as easy to get as anything in the game, once you’re there. I read that there’s a better drop rate on the shards in the northern part of blades edge, but i got mine off of every 3rd mob in Ogri’la.
The depleted crystal promises to be more the issue, and i could have been just lucky to have spotted those on the AH at the exact moment that this curiosity struck me. From looking at drop rates, if someone were to farm primarily Abyssal Flamebringers (Abyssal Flamebringer – NPC – World of Warcraft) and Simon Units(Simon Unit – NPC – World of Warcraft), then you would be coming close to a perfect harmony of shards to crystals.. plus the crystals are tradable, so you could call your guild to farm them, like i plan to.

just found this beauty recently and wanted to share it with everyone here. I want to say now, this is only MARGINALLY better for level 19 twinks because they can get a lot of stamina on their chest that makes up for it, but for level 10 twinks, this is amazing.
To anyone saying that level 10 twinks are awful, please stop talking now (SO…. MUCH…. AVOIDENCE)
Anyways, I’m sure anyone with a twink knows that the 100 health enchant doesn’t work any more. As annoying as this is, I found out while going on my levelling rogue (with his old level 1 twink gear) that they didn’t actually change the mechanics of the 150 health enchant to be level based.
Anyone with a level 1 twink knows that you can get 150 health on a Simple Black Dress or a Haliscan Jacket (If you want the armor).
To anyone saying useless without pics because they are too lazy and cheap to go try it out:

Be it Alliance or Horde, it doesn’t matter. Shall this guide tell you how to do it, any class, any race, any gender.
You can create a Twink by a few ways. If you do not know what is a twink, here is a definition from WoWWiki:
“Twinks are player characters who have gained powerful gear for their level through enhancements such as expensive weapon enchants, leg patches and BoE/BoP greens, blues or epics. The common goal of a twink is to “complete” it with the best gear possible and pit them against other twinks, though some people use twinks as means to overpower those who don’t twink. Twinks obtain their items through rare drops, drops off of bosses in instances, quest rewards from quests that are difficult to complete at their level, and from the Auction House. Twink items on the Auction House are usually very expensive. The enchantments twinks typically have on their equipment, can be performed only by higher-level characters at the top of the enchanting profession and are usually very expensive. Therefore, twinking usually requires significant assistance from high-level alts, friends, and/or guild members. However, there are examples of self-made twinks that generate the necessary gold from Auction House trading or other in-game methods. Twinks are mainly used in PvP fighting or in Battlegrounds. “
Believe me, once you play like a week with Twinks, you get used to them.
Those are the steps:
1. Choose the Class, Race, and Gender for your Twink.

First Gear:
Many people would tell me to wear leather, but I don’t think it’s as good as plate, at 19 its not much of a difference, but at 29 it matters, and this guide is for Retribution Paladins.
Head: I would go for Frostreaver Crown (Frostreaver Crown – Thottbot: World of Warcraft)
With the enchant Lesser Arcanum of Constitution (Lesser Arcanum of Constitution – Thottbot: World of Warcraft )
Neck: I would choose River Pride Choker (River Pride Choker – Thottbot: World of Warcraft ) for its very nice +stamina
Shoulder: Sparkleshell Mantle (Sparkleshell Mantle – Thottbot: World of Warcraft ) Nothing to argue about. You could also get Zandalar Signet of Might (Zandalar Signet of Might – Thottbot: World of Warcraft ).
Cloak: Go for Tigerstrike Mantle (Tigerstrike Mantle – Thottbot: World of Warcraft )

So, I currently own the best level 1 twink on my server, and one of the best around. Recently I discovered the toughness exploit, granting me 700 extra hp. This was great, considering my twink was known for his 1000+ hp. When WoTLK came out, tauren racial was nerfed, and I feared I would never break 1k HP again. But that all changed. Here is a screenie of him with no health buffs at 1661hp.

I recently also found about about the all-so-mighty twink 2h. I had to go get one and try it out for myself. Once I got it, I put my STR gear on, procced a crusader, switched to Enti, and crit a swine. Here’s the outcome:

The idea came from this recent exploit for leg armors. Here’s what you do.
1. Get on your Shaman (or have a friend help), Buy a bunch of Bronze Mace’s
2. Put Flame Tongue on all of them.
3. Take off all your armor and store it in the bank. Then go jump off cliffs/die and spirit rez to lose durability on the maces. Repeat until all the durability is at 0 on the weapons.
4. Log out and Log back in, then mail your twink the maces.
5. Log on to the twink and take out a mace from the crate of maces in the mail and repair it, log out then back in. Go play wsg and stomp on other twinks. Each hit does about 125 or 145 dmg (my shaman is only 72).
