Brewfest Guide! Complete!

Posted by: free-wow-guide   in WoW Achievements, WoW Quest Guide

1.) Coren Direbrew:
Requires level 75+ (80?) to summon him (summoned via a daily quest located in the BRD Bar). My 74 could not summon (silver arrow).

The Fight
The fight has not changed any since level 70, so all strategies listed on WoWHead/Various Forums/Various Sites still work. The jist of it is that, upon turning hostile, he will summon adds periodically throughout the fight. Kill the adds, including the ones he starts with, then kill him. An alternative strategy for high DPS groups is to burn him down – when he dies all of his adds despawn. Sometimes a maiden will be spawned, if she throws booze to you you need to drink it, or else you will be stunned.

The Rewards
All level 70 rewards have been replaced by level 80 ones:
Mithril Pocketwatch – Item – World of Warcraft which is a dropped version of Sundial of the Exiled – Item – World of Warcraft
Coren’s Chromium Coaster – Item – World of Warcraft which is a Mirror of Truth – Item – World of Warcraft
Brawler’s Souvenir – Item – World of Warcraft which is a dupe of Valor Medal of the First War – Item – World of Warcraft
Ancient Pickled Egg – Item – World of Warcraft which is a dupe of The Egg of Mortal Essence – Item – World of Warcraft
Bitter Balebrew Charm – Item – World of Warcraft an upgraded version of Balebrew Charm – Item – World of Warcraft
Bubbling Brightbrew Charm – Item – World of Warcraft, an upgraded version of Brightbrew Charm – Item – World of Warcraft
Direbrew’s Shanker 2.0 – Item – World of Warcraft, an upgraded version of Direbrew’s Shanker – Item – World of Warcraft
As well as the mounts (Ram and Kodo) and the Remote. I’d assume the drop rates are the same as last year, and both alliance and horde can get the Kodo and Ram

Kodo – Great Brewfest Kodo – Item – World of Warcraft
Ram – Swift Brewfest Ram – Item – World of Warcraft
Remote- Direbrew’s Remote – Item – World of Warcraft

2.) Achievements:

Meta Achievement (Horde / Alliance) rewards the title “Brewmaster” (displays as “Brewmaster “).

Horde- Brewmaster – Achievement – World of Warcraft
Alliance- Brewmaster – Achievement – World of Warcraft

Strange Brew
Drink each brew listed (Horde / Alliance). The brews are sold (coin, not tickets) by various vendors at each beer garden. You will need to speak to multiple vendors to get all the brews you need, but the should all be located at the major festival outside of Iron Forge/Orgrimmar. You can also get one free from a quest at each major festival.

Horde- Strange Brew – Achievement – World of Warcraft
Alliance- Strange Brew – Achievement – World of Warcraft

Brewfest Diet
Eat each snack listed. All snacks are sold by various vendors at the major festival outside of Orgrimmar/Iron Forge.

Snacks – The Brewfest Diet – Achievement – World of Warcraft

Brew of the Month
Join the Brew of the Month club! To join you will need to collect 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens (explained later) and purchase a voucher from Belbi Quickswitch as Alliance or Blix Fixwidget as Horde.

Brews of the Month- Brew of the Month – Achievement – World of Warcraft
Prize Tokens for Brewfest- Brewfest Prize Token – Item – World of Warcraft

Drunken Stupor
(link) Fall 65 yards while completely smashed. You can complete this at the same area you did Going Down?, or at any areas suggested there. My personal favorite is jumping off Scryer’s Tier.

Drunken Stupor – Achievement – World of Warcraft

Go here:

You can either jump off there, aiming to follow the red path…

Or you can fly up to that level, making sure to line up with #2, then dismount. I find this to be much much much easier.

Down with the Dark Iron
Every half hour Dark Iron Dwarves will assault the major festival location. Simply grab some booze off a nearby table, drink it, then chuck your mug at them! Note that it’s currently bugged on some servers. Mugs will only be able to hit mobs that are in melee range of you.

Achv DwtDI- Down With The Dark Iron – Achievement – World of Warcraft

Disturbing the Peace
(link) Wear three pieces of Brewfest Garb then head to Dalaran and /dance when you get there! The hats cost 50 prize tokens, the chest (dress/regalia) cost 200, and the boots/slippers cost 100. You need 350 prize tokens to complete this.

Brewfest Garb- Brewfest Garb – Item Set – World of Warcraft

Does your Wolpertinger Linger?
(link) Get your very own Wolpertinger Tankard by completing the Catch the Wild Wolpertinger! quest (Horde version is from Glodark Huntsniper outside Orgrimmar / Alliance). Pick up the quest then either get drunk or ask for some goggles. Run around the festival grounds and throw your net at all the little wolpertingers! Collect five then turn it in for your very own permanent wolpertinger.
Note: The quest may not be available to some regions. Check with the ticket vendor to see if you can purchase one for 50s.

Achv – Does Your Wolpertinger Linger? – Achievement – World of Warcraft
Wolpertinger- Wolpertinger’s Tankard – Item – World of Warcraft

Have Keg, Will Travel
(link) Either get your very own Kodo or Ram, or turn your mount into one by using Brewfest Hops. Brewfest Hops can be purchased from Belbi Quickswitch as Alliance or Blix Fixwidget as Horde for 2, 5, or 20 Prize Tokens.

Achv- Have Keg, Will Travel – Achievement – World of Warcraft
Alliance Quest Giver- Belbi Quikswitch – NPC – World of Warcraft
Horde Quest Giver- Blix Fixwidget – NPC – World of Warcraft

Brew of the Year
(link) Not necessary for the title (and, eventually, the proto), simply join the Brew of the Month club and you will be able to buy each brew during the month it runs (Vendors Here). Drink each when you get it in order to get the achievement!

3.) Ram Racing:

Ram racing is when you ride on a ram and ferry barrels from a crash site to the main brewfest zone. Each barrel you successful ferry gives you 30 seconds to your ram time and gives you 2 tickets (down from 3). You can do this once every 12 hours.

Alliance

Horde

4.) Tickets

Daily: Bark for _____!
Complete one of two per day: [H] Bark for Drohn’s Distillery!, [H] Bark for T’chali’s Voodoo Brewery!, [A] Bark for the Barleybrews!, Bark for the Thunderbrews!. When completed you will get 15 prize tokens.

Bark for T’chali’s Voodoo Brewery! – Quest – World of Warcraft
Bark for the Barleybrews! – Quest – World of Warcraft
Bark for the Thunderbrews! – Quest – World of Warcraft

When you accept the quest you will have exactly 4 minutes to complete the it and turn it in. That’s not too hard.. except for there being no apple barrels along the route. Yes, that’s right. You need to watch your fatigue in order to complete this successfully. For horde, I find running at speed 2 (Yellow) the entire way, but dropping down to speed 1 (Green) when my fatigue gets above 80 to be best. I usually complete the horde one with 30-45 seconds remaining. I would assume this strategy works similarly for Alliance.

Daily: This One Time When I Was Drunk…
