You don’t have to be level 70 to get in on most of the fun for this year’s Midsummer Fire Festival. Here is a guide to the minimum levels required (as stated by Kisirani) and recommended for each of the quests:
- Torch Tossing and Torch Catching have no minimum level requirement. Because you complete these quests in the safety of a capital city, any level is appropriate.
- Honoring the flames has no minimum level requirement. Unless you are 50+, however, the recommended level is the same as the level of the area you can comfortably hunt in.
- Desecrating flames also has no minimum level requirement, but considering it flags you for PvP even on a PvE server, do so at your own risk if you are low level.
- Incense for the Festival Scorchlings also has no minimum level and any level is recommended.
- Unusual Activitiy requires level 16, but I wouldn’t recommend lower than 20 given that you have to fight level 20 and 21 cultists and the area is rotten with level 20 Naga.
- A Thief’s Reward or stealing the flames in the other faction’s capital cities required a minimum level of 50, but if the flame is at all defended, it’s best to be level 70.
- Lord Ahune requires a minimum level of 65. Slave Pens is where he resides, the recommended level to complete this quest is 70 and it is easier if the 70s in your group are well-geared.

It’s that time of year again, folks. Frankly, I’m glad to be back in the realm of more reasonable and just plain fun holiday achievements, because I hated School of Hard Knocks, and wound up giving up and quitting the achievement after hours of fruitless battleground deaths. Fortunately, the Fire Festival has a lot less potential to drive you to the nuthouse, and a lot more potential to grant experience, gold, and cool items. From what I’ve seen, Blizzard hasn’t changed the holiday since its 2008 incarnation, which is actually a good thing in a number of ways because last year’s revamped and expanded Fire Festival was great.
A note on eligibility: your character will need to be at least 50 to hand in the items needed for King of the Fire Festival, and at least 65 to get the higher-level quests necessary for killing Lord Ahune in Slave Pens. With that said, we still recommend that lower-level characters participate, because you’ll wind up with a ton of experience and gold even if you can’t complete the meta-achievement.
Should you complete the meta, you will be awarded the “Flame Keeper” title. I’ve listed all of the required achievements in the order I think will be easiest/fastest for the average player to do.
UPDATE: Your character is currently unable to honor/desecrate any flame (including city flames) that you’ve honored/desecrated in 2008, which will make getting enough Burning Blossoms to purchase Midsummer clothing difficult, if not impossible. I’m still trying to find official confirmation that this is a bug (and I assume it has to be, as otherwise the meta-achievement isn’t doable), but it also appears that fires have been added to Northrend as well. I’m heading ingame right now to assemble a list with coordinates and will update the post later.

TRY THIS SOLO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Only a few people I’ve talked to succeeded at soloing this and you’ll waste your summon if you fail.
The boss is level 73, yes, the BOSS ITSELF IS IN FACT VERY EASY, he doesn’t do ANYTHING for phase 1.
Phase 1:
The boss does nothing at all, and yet this is where everyone dies! The problem is that the boss spawns about 3 new adds every 5 seconds (all level 70). The adds are ALSO EASY, they have 1750 hp and go down in 1-2 hits, but the problem is that you are CONSTANTLY OUTNUMBERED due to their fast spawn rate. Note also that the boss and adds are Frost resistant.

This guide is for level 15-25s and only works with spellcaster classes. This is great for leveling as you can get up to 1k xp per mob if rested
Heres a step by step guide on how to do it.
1. Stand at the start of the instance
2. Pull a mob.
3. Run right up to the left or right hand wall, this should make the mob run a long way around to try and climb up a very small ledge which you are now standing on.
4. Nuke the mob with everything
5. When the mob gets close, run to the other wall.
6. Repeat stages 4 & 5 till mob is dead.
I only tried this with my mage but i assume that its doable with all other spellcaster classes.
It’s really late now and i dont have any pictures but i’ll try to upload tormorrow.

Note : The funky thing about this pet is that you need to summon him WITH the hat while you’re wearing it (right clic over item)
First of all, head to the Cavern of Times in Tanaris . You can take the port in the argent citadel in Dalaran to get ported there.
Make sure the instance difficulty is on heroic.
Then zone in Old Hillsbrad. (the instance where you need to protect Thrall ya remember?)
The Boss you’re going to be looking for is Don Carlo. (This is the same Don Carlo you find by the Tanaris GY but when he was younger and …hem…undefeated?) He patrols the road between Tarren Mill and Southshore)
(PS) ON this road you can also find an old magician who can sell you an enchant to shield (stam or spirit can’t remember) and a bs that sell the Riding crop pattern
Remember this is still an Heroic boss (lvl70) and some classes might find him tricky to kill) as a shammy i had no problems to solo it easy.
You have to kill both Don Carlo and his horse (who is also an elite)

To get this achievement, you have to kill 50 members of the opposing faction while you’re inside one of your main cities. Most people go for this achievement whenever the opposing faction is trying to kill your factions leaders. For those of you who don’t feel like waiting around for the Horde/Alliance to raid your city, here’s a way you can get the achievement.

Your opposing faction will be trying to put out your cities bonfires, because of these quests.
Stealing Orgrimmar’s Flame
Stealing Stormwind’s Flame
Well, there’s really a quest for EVERY main city, but these two are prone to getting hit by groups. So you get more kills

NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU KILL AHUNE SOLO, NOT IN A GROUP.
It is CONFIRMED by other people
Yes, ahune is soloable, although tricky. I had no problem soloing him as blood-tank specced DK in dps gear.
Now, the exploit:
As you know, you can summon Ahune twice per day – one time in Normal SP using daily quest, another time in Heroic SP just clicking on stone.
HOWEVER
CLicking on stone ( and summoning and killing Ahune) in heroic DOESNT SAVE YOU!
So you can just run out, reset, run back in, and kill him over and over and over
In short:

The Midsummer Supplier NPCS are unkillable.
You can take them to 1 hp but will not be able to kill them.
In Exodar I found this one
Midsummer Supplier – NPC – World of Warcraft
Take advantage of it while you can.
Free weapon skill is always nice

The Lord Ahune encounter is very easily one of the most enjoyable 5-man encounters we’ve seen in a very long time. The Burning Crusade added some elements we had never seen in the pre-expansion days, and I feel that this boss takes it much further than that.
Ahune is found within the Slave Pens, and while he’s fairly close to the beginning of the instance, you’ll need to do a little bit of clearing before you fight him. Since Slave Pens is one of the easier dungeons in The Burning Crusade (both Normal and Heroic versions), you shouldn’t have much trouble with this step. Once you’ve reached the area where you summon Lord Ahune (and you will know when you get there), buff up, drink up, and make sure your party is ready. While not the most difficult encounter in the world, this alternating two phase boss fight can drag on a really long time if you’re not ready.
The First Phase – Taking down the adds
The first phase of this encounter is more or less an add-based fight with an element of mana conservation for your healer. You want your entire party to stay out of melee range of Lord Ahune, including your tank. He hits pretty hard, has a habit of filling your inventory with snow, and like his friends Ragnaros, Murmur, and Thunderaan, he is apparently completely immobile. Ahune reduces all damage he takes by 75% in this first phase, so it is hardly worth trying.
